CHONGQING SURVIVAL GUIDE CHONGQING SURVIVAL GUIDE

Chongqing is an ancient city with over 3,000 years of history, located in southwest China. Known as the "Mountain City" for its unique mountainous terrain, it is home to over 30 million people. Chongqing is famous for its fiery and spicy cuisine, especially the iconic hotpot. The nightscape of the city is another major draw, with the skyscrapers and bridges brilliantly illuminated, creating a dazzling view against the backdrop of the rivers.

During World War II, Chongqing served as China's wartime capital and was heavily bombed by Japanese forces for six years in the air raids. Despite the mass destruction, the city endured, rose from the ashes and flourished into the megacity that it is today.

yOU HAVE NOT BEEN TO CHONGQING IF YOU DIDN’T EAT SPICY FOOD, SEE THE NIGHTVIEW, OR CLIMB THE HILLS.
